Emily started and continues her professional career at Jones|Carter as a Design Engineer in the Traffic Department. She has experience in small and large scale Traffic Impact Analysis as well as Corridor Analysis and Traffic Signal Design. Emily graduated in May 2016 from Texas A&M University with a degree in Civil Engineering. During her time at Texas A&M, she was a member of the ASCE student chapter and participated in the Steel Bridge Regional and National Competitions in 2015 and 2016. Emily has been a member of YPT since 2016. She looks forward to continuing to expand her professional network and is excited to meet other professionals that share an interest in transportation.

Why you joined YPT?: I wanted to join an organization that would expand my professional knowledge regarding the transportation field and that would provide a network of similarly minded professionals to socialize with.
Bio: Emily began her professional career with Jones|Carter as part of the Traffic Engineering team in 2016 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University. She is a certified Professional Engineer and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and her work experience primarily consists of Traffic Impact Analysis studies, Corridor Analysis studies, and Traffic Signal Design; Her favorite projects include analysis of innovative intersections. Emily has been a member of YPT Houston since 2016 and has held the position of Director of Sponsorship since 2018.
Fun Facts:
- I have a pet love bird named Fawkes (like the Phoenix from Harry Potter).
- I enjoy playing soccer, indoor cycling, and traveling (a few of my favorite places I’ve traveled to internationally are Italy, Thailand, and Croatia!)
